Business Idea: Subscription Box

Hey girls! Today we have another business post! It's been forever since we have had one of these, so I thought today would be a great day to bring it back!

Today we are looking at a service idea: Subscription boxes! These are super fun to make and shop for! Today we will explore:

  1. Planning

  2. Pricing

  3. Advertising

  4. Building

  5. Ideas

I hope you get some ideas from this post and can maybe stat your own subscription box!

Planning

Let's start with something fun: Planning! First, you can figure out your theme. Here are a few ideas:

  • You could do a monthly art box with craft supplies to make a craft. You could even make instructional videos!

  • You could do a baking box with supplies to make a treat (This one may be a bit harder to do)

  • You could do a stationary box where every month you send your clients stationary like pens, and pencil bags

  • You could do a fashion Accessories box where you send skin care & Makeup products.

  • You could do just a fun mix of gadgets + Accessories

Pricing

This part can be a bit difficult because there are a lot of things to consider when pricing your box. Here is a list to get you started:

  • How much money can my ideal client spend on my box?

  • How much will shipping cost?

  • How much will the items inside the box cost?

  • How much will the box + tissue paper supplies cost?

There are a lot of things to consider, so I made an example of what you could do and charge!

This may not be a perfect estimate, but maybe it will help you get started. One thing you could do is charge for shipping, or if your clients are local, do free pickup.

Advertising

This can be hard to think of ideas, but I think once you get started it will be easier. Here are some ways to advertise your boxes:

  • Flyers

  • Website

  • Social media

  • Business cards

  • Signs

Experiment with Canva! Design flyers, and more! You can even make a website on Canva for your boxes too!

Building

Building your box will be fun! Let's look at some ideas of things you could include in your boxes.

  • Check out this post for some budget stationary

  • Look at places like Five Below for some cheap items

  • If you do a skin care/makeup box, Claires usually has sales

  • For crafting, Hobby Lobby is great

  • Amazon almost always has something on sale!

Ideas

Now, I am just going to show you some photos for inspiration!

Well, That concludes today's post!

See you next time girls!
