School Notetaking: Supplies + Ideas

Taking notes is SO helpful for school. Taking cute ones are fun too! Notes, are great, But I get this question sometimes: How can I take notes that are cute, effective, and fast? Well, It is hard, but I hope this post will help you!

Note Taking Supplies

First up, let's look at supplies. Really all you need is a pen and paper, but here are some fun ones to have:

• Gel pens (I recommend these)

• Notebook (I like using this one)

• Highlighters (Go to this post for my go-to)

• Markers

• Washi tape

• White-out (For mistakes)

How Can I take Notes?

This can take some time to get the hang of too! Sometimes, I used to feel like I had to write every single word down. Here are some pointers for things to write in your notes:

• If your teacher uses slides, write down the content of the slides in your own words

• Vocabulary words and what they mean (in your own words)

• Diagrams that your teacher shows you on the whiteboard (or from your text book)

• Timelines of events (in social studies)

• When reading, write down bold or italics phrases or terms in your own words

It can be hard at first, but keep practicing!
