Stop and smell the Roses

Between scrolling through social media, keeping up with assignments, and managing group chats, it is SO easy to live your life on fast-forward. Your mind is constantly moving to the next thing—the next test, the next post, or the next weekend. But in Psalm 46:10, God whispers a gentle reminder to our chaotic world: “Be still, and know that I am God.” Taking a moment to stop and smell the roses isn't just about literally looking at flowers; it’s an invitation to pause the race, breathe, and notice the incredible ways God is working around you right now. When you’re always rushing to the next milestone, you miss the quiet beauty of the present moment.

God designed you to experience His grace today, not just in your future achievements. When you intentionally slow down—whether that means turning off your phone for an hour, sitting outside to feel the sun, or listening deeply to a friend—you make space to recognize His presence. The beauty of a sunset, the laughter of a family member, or a sudden moment of peace aren't random; they are reminders from your Father in Heaven of His love for you!

Something I’m currently working on is choosing to pause. Letting go of the pressure to strive, or be busy and  to simply sit in God’s presence and appreciate the beauty right in front.
