Day 4: He is our Father

Do you have a good relationship with your dad? I know I love mine so much! Think of the love your father shows you. He wants to see you, and talk to you. He helps you when you are having a tough time. 

God is our father. While our earthly fathers still sin, God is the perfect father. He shows us love like He is our child- paternal love. 

So, how do we know that we are His? The love He shows us. Though sin separates us from Him,  He reaches towered us with love like a father.  We have assurance of God’s love because He does not treat us like strangers. He treats us like family. He treats us as His children. He responds to us as a perfect father. 

The wonder of this truth may still be hard to grasp, but it doesn’t change the facts. God is the Father “who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20). And we are His beloved daughters.
